Anyone who collected knows

There was a ritual. You opened the pack, glanced at it, and before anything else you checked: do I already have this one?

Tazos, Gogo’s, World Cup stickers. The pleasure was never in the item itself — it was in the gap. In the incomplete collection, in what was missing, in the trade at recess.

Editora Pixel builds exactly that with Enaldinho. Except the universe grew: activity books, cards with rarity tiers, an illustrated album, licensed Gogo’s Crazy Bones, the World Cup collection, the Elo Monsters Evolution. Each launch with its own communication, its own post, its own space.

And nowhere for all of it to exist together.

The challenge

A permanent portal gathering every Enaldinho line — not for the next launch, but for all the next ones.

The problem wasn’t technical. It was formal. A menu with seven items turns a universe into a corporate site index. And an index doesn’t make anyone want to explore.

There was a real constraint too: the audience is children and pre-teens, arriving mostly on a phone, straight from a video. There’s no patience for loading, and none for navigation that demands understanding a structure before seeing anything.

We needed a mechanic that made a kid want to keep going. Not a sitemap.

The descent

The home page became a dive. The “E” from Enaldinho’s signature is the vehicle, fixed at the centre of the screen, and the universe moves around you as you go down.

Each line is a depth. The route reads in the corner — 01/06 SURFACE, 04/06 UNIVERSES — like a cockpit instrument. The browser address changes along with it, so every line has its own link and can be shared.

A kid doesn’t navigate. A kid descends. And a descent has a direction, a bottom, and the promise that there’s more underneath.

Two earlier proposals were scrapped before this one. The direction unlocked when we stopped trying to organise the catalogue and started treating it as territory.

Sound needs permission

A soundtrack on the site felt like a settled decision — until it played in no browser at all.

It wasn’t a broken file or broken code. Modern browsers only unlock audio after a deliberate gesture, and scrolling doesn’t count as one.

The fix became part of the identity: an entrance gate. This site has a soundtrack. Enter with sound, or without. One click, one respected choice, audio unlocked in every browser.

What looked like a technical obstacle became the first decision a kid makes on the site.

Everything anchored

Nothing floats. That was the rule after going through reference by reference.

Real product either bleeds off the edge or sits inside a colour block with a frame — never cut out and hovering over a background. Brand red #FF0000 as the dominant colour, black as ink, zero intermediate grey.

The 40 evolutions open on click with the description printed inside the book. The 23 products carry ISBN and price. The World Cup line inherits the identity of the previous site — pitch, trophy borders, its own mobile banner.

Official content, not agency copy: each line’s narrative came from the publisher’s own text, and every image has a recorded source.

What we built

A portal with seven lines, a route synced to scroll, a soundtrack running through the whole descent, and 155 media files treated one by one.

It isn’t a campaign that ends. It’s the house the next launches will live in.

The collection is never complete. That’s the point.

Notes for the nerds

Stack

  • Astro 5 + Tailwind CSS 4
  • Hash routing synced to scroll position, with a direct link per line
  • Helical carousel with a fixed vehicle and moving scenery
  • Deployed on Vercel, published automatically on push

Project scale

  • 7 product lines, each with its own page
  • 23 products with ISBN and price
  • 40 evolutions across 8 elemental families
  • ~4,900 lines of code
  • 155 media files processed

Audio

  • Entrance gate as the single unlocking gesture (every modern browser’s autoplay policy)
  • Sound state persisted across lines
  • Audio errors surfaced in the interface, not swallowed in the console
  • Objective RMS probe on the output to verify sound actually plays

Identity

  • Official red #FF0000, sampled from the logo source file
  • Official vector logotype, never re-set in a substitute typeface
  • Composition rule: no cut-out element floating over a neutral background
  • Reference library versioned in the repo, with tokens and dos/don’ts per reference

Provenance and rights

  • Licensed soundtrack (Envato Elements)
  • Official photography with mandatory credit to Washington Possato
  • Every asset’s origin recorded in a provenance file in the repository
